Privacy Policy

Effective October 5, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Systems Unpacked handles information in connection with this website and the Systems Unpacked Media Engine, including its Google OAuth and YouTube upload integration.

Google and YouTube data

The Systems Unpacked Media Engine requests Google authorization only for the YouTube upload capability needed to upload approved Systems Unpacked videos to a YouTube channel authorized by the operator. The application does not use this authorization to read the operator's YouTube viewing history, subscriptions, comments, or other unrelated Google account data.

The current controlled publishing workflow uploads videos as private. A publishing action requires explicit operator authorization; granting OAuth access alone does not initiate an upload.

How authorization data is used

OAuth credentials are used only to authenticate the authorized YouTube upload operation. Refresh credentials are held in operator-controlled storage and are not displayed on this website. Publishing records may retain non-secret operational evidence such as the destination channel identifier, upload status, timestamps, and a returned YouTube video identifier. Tokens and client secrets are not intentionally written into publishing evidence.

Sharing and sale

Systems Unpacked does not sell Google user data. Google authorization data is not shared with advertisers or data brokers. Data is disclosed only as necessary to operate the authorized Google/YouTube integration, comply with law, or protect the security and integrity of the service.

Retention and deletion

OAuth credentials are retained only while needed for the authorized integration and may be replaced or removed by the operator. Non-secret publishing evidence may be retained for auditability, reliability, and reconciliation of publishing actions.

Revoking Google access

You can revoke the application's Google account access at any time from your Google Account's third-party connections or permissions settings. Revocation prevents future use of that authorization until access is granted again.

Website data

This static website does not require an account and does not include a contact form, advertising tracker, or application analytics script. Cloudflare, as the hosting and network provider, may process ordinary request and security data when serving the site under its own applicable terms and policies.

Security

Systems Unpacked uses access controls and operational boundaries intended to prevent credentials from being included in public content or sanitized publishing evidence. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the Systems Unpacked service or its integrations change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
